He was in the WWE for about as long as it takes to down a cup of coffee but that doesn’t matter to WWE’s sister company UFC.
UFC has announced that they have signed Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson during UFC 327 last night.
With the WWE, Steveson has 12 NXT matches and five dark matches on Smackdown. He won 16 of those 17 matches.
Steveson won gold in freestyle wrestling at the 2020 Olympic Games.
UFC legend Jon Jones has been Steveson’s MMA coach, training him. He will debut against an unnamed opponent at UFC 329 on July 11th.
After leaving the WWE, Steveson signed with the NFL’s Buffalo Bills but was released three months later. He began an MMA career last year and has three wins under his belt.
Steveson is also signed with Real American Freestyle. He will face Alexander Romanov at RAF 09 on May 30.
