A former WWE star has opened up about their experience working for the company, and how they suffered from suicidal thoughts due to bullying they were the victim of during their tenure.
Former WWE star Priscilla Kelly, who was known in the company as Gigi Dolin, spoke with Denise Salcedo on her Instinct Culture Podcast and discussed a variety of topics, including her time working for the WWE as Dolin, and how she fought hard to bring her Priscilla Kelly character into the company, but was unable to change the minds of the company executives who wanted her to debut with a new name.
Kelly also spoke about the pressure she felt working for the promotion, and how she especially felt the pressure in the first two years of her employment, and that some within the company weren’t very kind to her. Kelly stated:
“WWE is a lot and especially those first two years. Like there just was a lot of pressure those first two years because I was new and I had come from the indies. There was a lot that they were trying to, like, beat out of me. And yeah, like, there was definitely stuff going on behind the scenes.”
Dolin then went on to say that due to the pressure and poor treatment she was receiving, she felt suicidal in her early years with the company. She stated:
“Let’s just say some people were very, very, very not nice to me, to the point that I was suicidal for a little bit because I was really going through it.”
