One former WWE star believes Dominik Mysterio has all the tools to become a future world champion in WWE.
Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Carlito praised Dominik Mysterio’s growth as a performer and described him as “a rock star” following his rise on WWE’s main roster. Carlito worked alongside Dominik during their time together in The Judgment Day before the group’s recent shake-up that saw Finn Balor exit the faction and Dominik emerge as its new leader alongside Liv Morgan.
“He’s a rock star, man,” Carlito said. “I think he’s probably gonna be one of the biggest guys in the business one day.”
Carlito pointed to Dominik’s transformation from a struggling babyface character into the arrogant heel personality fans now associate with him, crediting that evolution for helping him become a breakout star.
When asked directly whether Dominik could become a future world champion, Carlito said he believes it is possible, although he jokingly added that Mysterio “just needs to gain some weight.”
Carlito Addressed The Possibility Of His Return To WWE To Join Dominik Mysterio’s Judgment Day
Carlito also discussed the possibility of eventually returning to The Judgment Day if WWE wanted him back. According to Carlito, he actually learned about Finn Balor’s departure from the faction and Dominik Mysterio’s betrayal through the group’s text chat.
The former WWE star additionally reflected on how his original run with The Judgment Day unexpectedly came together, explaining that the idea initially seemed random before fans eventually embraced the pairing and WWE kept him involved with the group long-term.
