A former WWE star has spoken about who they think would win in a real fight between two of the company’s most legitimate tough guys, Brock Lesnar and Haku.
Former WWE star The Barbarian has weighed in on a hypothetical real fight between Brock Lesnar and Haku, two names long regarded as among the toughest in wrestling. Speaking on Wrestling Shoot Interviews in 2022, The Barbarian was asked who he believed would come out on top. He said the answer depends entirely on the rules.
He noted that in a regulated setting, such as an MMA-style fight, Lesnar’s background and skill set would give him a clear advantage.
“If it goes by the rules, Brock will win. Brock will tie Haku every which way,” he said.
However, he added that an anything-goes scenario would shift the balance in Haku’s favour.
“If anything goes, I have to give it to Haku. Haku has crazy strength, and in a no-rules scenario, he would have the edge. That is my opinion.”
The Barbarian stressed his respect for both men, calling it a difficult comparison but standing by his split verdict.
When Did The Barbarian Leave WWE?
The Barbarian’s first run with WWE ended in 1992, with his last televised appearance being the 1992 Royal Rumble, where he was eliminated by Hercules. He continued to wrestle on the house show loop until February, when he left the company and joined WCW.
Barbarian rejoined WWE in 1994 and continued to wrestle on the house show circuit, and occasionally on TV and pay-per-view, until mid-1995, when he left to join WCW once more. Despite being 67 and starting his career in 1980, Barbarian still wrestles to this day, and his last match to date took place on October 25, where he and his former tag partner, The Warlord, teamed to defeat four other wrestlers in a two-on-four handicap match at BCW Season Of The Witch.
