Former WWE and NWA referee David Dwinell has shared a heartbreaking update regarding his health.
David Dwinell revealed in a post on social media that he is now entering hospice care after battling a rare and progressive condition known as Paraneoplastic Neurological Syndrome. The longtime wrestling official explained that treatments have been unsuccessful and that doctors have informed him his time is now limited.
In an emotional message, Dwinell wrote that while the news is difficult, he has come to terms with his situation and is focusing on spending meaningful time with loved ones.
Thanks to Fightful for the post:
“My life has been full and meaningful, rich with adventure, laughter, the love of my family, and the most wonderful friendships. Right now, my focus is on comfort, being present, and spending time with the people I care about. In my heart, I hold a deep gratitude for each of you and want to thank you for your kindness, and the memories we have shared over the years. Our memories mean more to me than I can say.”
He added that while he may not be able to respond to messages individually, he deeply appreciates the outpouring of support and kindness he has received.
