A former WWE NXT champion may soon be making the jump to the company’s main roster.
According to a new report from BodySlam+, Ethan Page could be nearing the end of his run in WWE’s developmental brand as discussions about a possible promotion have reportedly taken place behind the scenes.
Page recently lost the NXT North American Championship to Myles Borne on the February 24 episode of WWE NXT, ending a lengthy 273-day reign with the title.
Despite dropping the championship, the rivalry between Page and Borne continued into the following week’s episode. During that broadcast, Borne once again defeated Page in an impromptu rematch, with both competitors wrestling in suits.
Following those losses, a new update has emerged regarding Page’s future in WWE.
What Did The Report Say About Ethan Page Moving From WWE NXT To The Main Roster?
According to the BodySlam report, WWE officials have been discussing the possibility of moving Page to the main roster.
The report states that:
“Sources indicate to Bodyslam that Ethan Page has been talked about a lot regarding a potential main roster move.”
However, the move may not happen immediately. Another source reportedly indicated that Page could first return to the NXT main event title picture before officially making the transition to WWE’s main roster programming.
Page signed with WWE in 2024 and quickly established himself as a major presence in WWE NXT. His North American Championship reign lasted more than nine months and helped cement him as one of the brand’s top villains.
While WWE has yet to confirm any plans for a call-up, the report suggests that Page could soon be preparing for the next phase of his WWE career.
