Former WWE manager Jim Cornette has once again made headlines for his political views after reacting to the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on birthright citizenship.
Following the court’s decision, the wrestling manager and commentator took to X to criticise WWE Hall of Famer and U.S. President Donald Trump, continuing his long-standing public opposition to the president.
The Supreme Court’s ruling came after Trump had signed an executive order seeking to end automatic U.S. citizenship for children born in the United States to undocumented immigrants or parents on temporary visas.
Reacting to the decision, Cornette wrote:
“If we’re going to revoke anyone’s US citizenship, let’s start with Sh*tler and his whole family — the air will smell better, and the crime rate will drop in half.”
Jim Cornette Has Been Outspoken In His Criticism Towards WWE Hall Of Famer Donald Trump
Jim Cornette has frequently shared his political opinions on social media in recent years, often directing criticism towards Donald Trump. His latest post follows previous comments on issues, including the January 6 pardons and other political developments in the United States.
The Supreme Court decision followed legal challenges to Trump’s executive order, which had previously been blocked by lower courts.
Although political discussions occasionally involve figures from the wrestling industry, WWE programming has generally remained focused on its on-screen product. Several WWE personalities, including Triple H and Roman Reigns, have previously spoken positively about Trump, while CM Punk has said politics is rarely discussed backstage.
