A former top WWE executive has taken a shot at U.S. President Donald Trump following the President’s latest State of the Union address.
Jim Cornette has never been shy about sharing his political views, and he made that clear again following Donald Trump’s latest State of the Union address. Just hours after the speech concluded, the outspoken wrestling personality took to social media to vent his frustration.
Cornette delivered a blistering response on Twitter, describing the address in harsh terms and accusing Trump of deflecting responsibility while embarrassing the United States on a global stage.
“Last night, instead of a leader, we got to listen to an obnoxious, babbling fool in obvious mental decline spew forth a bu**ake of lies, bull**it and grievances, blaming others for his criminality and incompetence while embarrassing all of America in front of the world—AGAIN,” Cornette wrote.
What Did Donald Trump Say During His State Of The Union Address?
Donald Trump’s address, which ran close to two hours, included sweeping claims about the nation’s progress. The President declared that the country was “back, bigger, better, richer and stronger than ever before,” while pointing to falling inflation, increased domestic production, and renewed American strength.
Immigration and crime were central themes of the speech, with Trump stating that the primary duty of the American government is to protect American citizens rather than illegal immigrants. The address prompted chants of “USA” from Republican lawmakers, while several Democrats staged visible protests inside the chamber.
