Former WWE Co-President George Barrios says communicating with Vince McMahon was the hardest part of working with him.
George Barrios worked with Vince McMahon for 12 years, first joining WWE as Chief Financial Officer in 2008 and later being promoted to Co-President alongside Michelle Wilson. During his 12 years with the company, Barrios was in close contact with McMahon, but says communicating with him could be difficult.
Barrios explained that while McMahon’s public persona is larger-than-life, behind closed doors, he is surprisingly introverted.
“I met Vince and I had my own perception that he was a loud, extroverted guy with strong opinions. In the 12 years I was with him, I saw it that very first day, a very quiet guy. More stoic. Introverted. Very different than me. The hardest part of working with Vince, and it’s not what people expect, is the communication. He’s just a quiet, introverted guy.”
Lawsuit Against Vince McMahon & WWE Executives Ends In Settlement
A lawsuit brought by WWE shareholders against Vince McMahon and other executives ended in a settlement just days before it was due to go to trial. The lawsuit alleged that McMahon and others had breached their fiduciary duties in relation to the sale of WWE to Endeavor Group Holdings in 2023.
According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the parties involved have reached an agreement in principle, and it will be presented for approval “in due course.”
