A former WWE Champion has revealed a dramatic physical transformation, sharing a new weight milestone that few would have predicted during their in-ring prime.
Paul Wight, who was famously billed at over 500 pounds during his prime as The Big Show in WWE, took to social media this week to reveal just how far he has come. Posting a gym selfie, the AEW personality confirmed he now weighs 393 pounds and has his sights set even lower.
“Currently 393lbs. Shooting for 360lbs. Thank you to everyone that’s supported me over the years. #gymselfie #gymgoals,” Wight wrote.
The photos showcased a noticeably leaner frame, marking a dramatic change from the imposing giant fans remember from his WWE run.
Wight’s transformation follows years of serious medical procedures aimed at repairing the wear and tear from a decades-long career. He has undergone extensive surgeries on both knees and both hips, operations that would sideline most athletes permanently. In December 2025, he also revealed that he had a “small back surgery”, describing it as another step in his ongoing recovery.
Despite the toll those operations have taken, Wight has remained positive about his progress. He previously stated that he had regained full range of motion in his knees and was largely pain-free, developments that have allowed him to step up his training in recent months.
Former WWE Star Paul Wight In AEW
Since leaving WWE and joining AEW in 2021, Paul Wight has shifted into several roles, working as an in-ring competitor, backstage coach and commentator. He has not wrestled for AEW since 2023, with his most recent match taking place in 2024 during the Chris Jericho Cruise.
More recently, Wight returned to the broadcast table for the January 24, 2026, episode of AEW Collision, calling the action alongside Excalibur and Tony Schiavone.
While it remains to be seen whether he has any plans to step back inside the ring, Wight’s latest update makes one thing clear: his focus is firmly on long-term health, and he is not done pushing himself just yet.
