A former WWE Champion is helping to lead disaster relief efforts following the devastating tornado that struck Menasha, Wisconsin.
Braun Strowman, whose real name is Adam Scherr, has partnered with Great Lakes Championship Wrestling and the Milwaukee Milkmen to organise the Fox Valley Tornado Relief Donation Drive, which will take place on July 30 at Franklin Field in Franklin, Wisconsin. The drive will collect essential supplies for families displaced by the storm, with donations being distributed through local relief agencies.
Announcing the initiative on social media, the former WWE Universal Champion encouraged fans to support those affected by the tornado.
“Godspeed to anyone that’s up there right now helping out, and God bless to everyone in the area that was affected by this, and stay tuned. I said I’m going to be doing everything I can in my power here in the state of Wisconsin to help out with these people hit last night with a tornado.”
Strowman said the donation drive is focused on bringing the local community together to help those in need.
“This is about neighbors helping neighbors. The people of the Fox Valley have suffered tremendous loss, and together with the Milwaukee Milkmen and Great Lakes Championship Wrestling, we’re asking our fans and our community to come together and show what Wisconsin is all about.”

The former WWE Money in the Bank winner also explained that the Fox Valley region has always supported him and his family, making the relief effort especially meaningful.
“I’ve always prided myself on being a man of the people and trying to help out when I can. The Fox Valley has always been great to me and my family, so it’s only right to try and give back any way I can.”
Organisers are asking supporters to donate physical supplies rather than money. Priority items include bottled water, sports drinks, cleaning supplies, work gloves, heavy-duty rubbish bags, nappies, baby wipes, baby formula, toiletries, non-perishable food, snacks, pet food and other pet supplies.
By partnering with both Great Lakes Championship Wrestling and the Milwaukee Milkmen, Braun Strowman hopes to unite wrestling and baseball fans in support of the recovery effort.
