WWE’s creative direction heading into WrestleMania 42 is once again under scrutiny, with strong criticism coming from a former head writer who called for the company to fire the entire creative team.
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo took to social media to voice his frustrations with the promotion, calling for drastic action in response to recent booking decisions on the road to WrestleMania 42.
The build to the two-night show in Las Vegas has drawn mixed reactions, with several angles questioned by fans. Among the talking points are Sami Zayn capturing the United States Title from Carmelo Hayes, as well as Randy Orton aligning with Pat McAfee in the main event scene.
Russo did not hold back in his assessment, writing that WWE should “fire everybody that has anything to do with creative” and effectively start over to fix what he sees as deeper issues with the current direction.
Vince Russo Called For Tony Khan To Have AEW And JCW Lunacy Team Up To Take On WWE
Vince Russo recently responded to a social media exchange that Jonathan Coachman and Tony Khan had, where Coachman invited Khan to appear as a guest on his and Russo’s podcast and Khan said he’d love to come onto the show as he is a big fan of Coachman and Russo, and Khan added that he is enjoying what Russo is doing with JCW Lunacy.
Russo took the opportunity to ask Khan to follow him back on social media, and that the two should discuss creative plans for AEW and JCW Lunacy to team up to “blow the WWE INTO OBLIVION!!!”
