A former TNA World Champion could be leaving the company very soon.
Former TNA World Champion Steve Maclin‘s contract is reportedly up at the end of the year, Fightful Select reported, after he re-signed to the promotion for one year when his contract came up at the end of last year.
Maclin has been feuding with Frankie Kazarian over the newly introduced International Championship, with Maclin regaining the title from Kazarian at Bound for Glory on October 12 to start his second reign with the title. He was the inaugural International Champion after winning a tournament by winning a preliminary round and the final, both during the pay-per-view Unbreakable on April 17.
It is unknown if he will sign for another year or longer, but it was recently reported that another former TNA World Champion, Rich Swann, is currently working for the company without a contract on a per-appearance basis.
When Did Steve Maclin Win The TNA World Title?
Steve Maclin won the TNA World Championship after defeating Kushida at Rebellion 2023 for the vacant title. However, he only held the title for just under two months, as he dropped the title to Alex Shelley at Against All Odds on June 9, 2023, after making just two successful defences on TV.
In recent news, Steph De Lander and Mance Warner have both signed new TNA contracts.
