A former TNA Champion has departed the company as their contract has expired.
Masha Slamovich is no longer with TNA, according to a new report from Fightful Select. Slamovich’s contract has expired, and she is officially done with the company, a development noticed by fans after her profile was removed from the company’s website.
Slamovich, a former Knockouts Champion, had been absent from the promotion’s programming since September following domestic abuse allegations made by former MLW wrestler Akira. TNA subsequently launched an internal investigation, and Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer reported at the time that the expectation within the company was that Slamovich would not return.
Following the allegations, Slamovich released a statement describing her situation as a “toxic and mutually destructive relationship” and accepted responsibility for her actions. She has not wrestled since, with several promotions opting to pull her from scheduled appearances.
Alongside her TNA run, Slamovich also made appearances in NXT through the ongoing working agreement between the two companies. Her most recent major match came at Heatwave, where she lost to Ash by Elegance in a three-way bout that also featured Jacy Jayne for the Knockouts Championship.
