A former WWE NXT Women’s Champion has officially committed their future to TNA Wrestling after weeks of storyline uncertainty surrounding their contract status.
During Thursday night’s episode of TNA Impact, Indi Hartwell was officially announced as having re-signed with the company. The announcement came during a segment involving Daria Rae, who was promoting an upcoming TNA World Championship match between Mike Santana and Steve Maclin for next week’s episode of Impact.
However, the segment was interrupted by Director of Authority Santino Marella, who appeared on stage and revealed Hartwell had officially agreed to a new deal with the promotion. Hartwell’s contract situation had become a recurring storyline on recent episodes of Impact, with Rae repeatedly referencing the possibility of her deal expiring. The storyline also tied into Hartwell previously helping Marella regain his authority position following a suspension angle involving Rae.
Hartwell joined TNA in May 2025 after her release from WWE the previous year.
When Did Indi Hartwell Capture The WWE NXT Women’s Title?
Before leaving WWE, Indi Hartwell captured the NXT Women’s Championship at Stand & Deliver on April 1, 2023, by defeating Roxanne Perez and was heavily featured across the NXT brand before later moving to the main roster on the May 8, 2023, episode of Raw.
