On last night’s episode of WWE NXT, a former champion made their return.
Last night, Ricky Saints faced off against Trick Williams in a Last Man Standing match for the NXT Title. Saints was able to defend the title after a hard-fought bout by delivering a spear to Williams through the announce desk to get the ten count.
However, before Saints could celebrate his victory, former champion Oba Femi’s music hit, and “The Ruler” walked out onto the entrance stage to close the show. Femi has not been seen on TV since his No Mercy loss to Saints, which ended his 263-day title reign.

When Did Oba Femi Win The NXT Championship?
Oba Femi captured the NXT Title on the January 7 episode of NXT, where he defeated then-champion Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe in a Triple Threat match to win the belt. He defended the title a total of ten times before losing it to Ricky Saints on September 27 at No Mercy.
Femi also held the North American Championship in 2024, capturing that title on January 9 and losing it to Tony D’Angelo on October 8 after defending the belt ten times.
