With the release of WWE 2K26 fast approaching, one former champion has realised they will not be stepping back into the virtual ring this year.
WWE 2K26 launches worldwide on March 13, 2026, with early access beginning March 6 for players who purchase special editions. CM Punk fronts the standard cover, and the game marks the first entry developed exclusively for current-generation consoles, bypassing PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
However, when the full roster was revealed, Kelly Kelly’s name was absent.
Given the franchise’s recent focus on nostalgia, some fans had expected the former Divas Champion to return as a playable character. Reports in 2025 suggested she had signed a WWE Legends contract, an agreement that often leads to merchandise, appearances, and inclusion in video games. That made her omission from WWE 2K26 a little surprising.
Kelly Kelly Addresses WWE 2K26 Roster Snub
Kelly addressed the situation herself on Twitter, responding in a light-hearted manner to the news.
“Welp… another year not in the @WWEgames …Should we start a petition or what?”
Kelly remains one of the most memorable stars of the Divas era. After debuting in the mid-2000s, she rose to prominence and captured the Divas Championship in 2011 by defeating Brie Bella. She was featured in multiple WWE titles during that period, including WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 and subsequent entries in the series.
Her last playable appearance was in WWE ’13, before the franchise fully transitioned into WWE 2K. Since then, she has not returned to the roster, despite recent games that have embraced Legends, classic arenas, and throwback characters.
