A former WWE announcer has publicly called on the company to remove Donald Trump from its Hall of Fame, urging officials to take decisive action amid recent controversy.
Kayla Braxton has publicly urged WWE to revoke Donald Trump’s Hall of Fame status, making her stance clear in a series of social media posts. The former WWE broadcaster took to her Instagram Story, calling on the company to remove Trump from its Hall of Fame Celebrity Wing following renewed controversy surrounding the recently released Epstein files.
Braxton acknowledged that, during her time with WWE, she was discouraged from posting political opinions.
“Going back to when I was working in WWE, I used to get in trouble if I posted political things, because every once in a while I get riled up,” she said.
Now no longer employed by the company, Braxton stated that she feels able to speak freely and believes WWE should make a public move.
“Here’s what I think WWE should do. Donald Trump, who’s in our WWE Hall of Fame, now that the Epstein files have been released and there’s no question that that man is evil, WWE should do a public revoking of his Hall of Fame status,” she wrote.
Braxton went on to argue that such a decision would demonstrate leadership.
“That would be one of the coolest, most leadership-driven things they could possibly do. ‘Hey, Mr. Donald Trump, you are no longer in the WWE Hall of Fame.’ I want a statement. A celebration. Whatever. They should start this.”
When Was Donald Trump Inducted Into The WWE Hall Of Fame?
Donald Trump was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Celebrity Wing in 2013 following several WrestleMania appearances, including his involvement in the “Battle of the Billionaires” storyline at WrestleMania 23.
WWE has not issued any public comment regarding Braxton’s remarks at the time of writing.
