Former AEW star Fuego Del Sol, now competing under his real name KJ Orso, is reportedly set to receive a WWE tryout during SummerSlam week in Minnesota. According to Fightful Select, Orso is among the wrestlers expected to attend the tryout, and the independent star appeared to acknowledge the report on social media after sharing congratulatory messages. Since losing his mask in 2025, Orso has remained active in the independent scene, wrestling regularly for GCW and making appearances in TNA, and has recently stated that he is grateful for the opportunity but will not celebrate until he achieves his goal.
Rey Mysterio‘s daughter, Aalyah Gutierrez, is reportedly set to begin training at the WWE Performance Center, according to PWInsider. Social media posts have fuelled speculation by showing Aalyah celebrating with a WWE-themed cake and messages congratulating her on the reported move. However, neither WWE nor the Mysterio family has officially confirmed the report. Aalyah previously appeared on WWE television during the 2020 storyline involving Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy, as well as making other non-wrestling appearances alongside her family.
Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown averaged 1.253 million viewers on the USA Network, an increase of 0.8% from the previous week and the show’s highest audience since May 22. The broadcast also drew a 0.23 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, up 9.5% week-on-week, despite tying its fourth-lowest rating in that category since January 23. SmackDown finished second on cable in the 18-49 demographic behind WNBA All-Star coverage and ranked fourth in total viewers. Compared to the same week in 2025, viewership was down 26.6%, while the 18-49 rating declined 52.1%.
Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision averaged 427,000 viewers on TNT, up 7% from the previous week and the show’s highest audience since June 6. The broadcast also drew a 0.07 rating in the 18-49 demographic, up 16.7% week-on-week and its best performance in that category since June 6. Collision aired against the WNBA All-Star Game on ABC and an MLB game on FOX, finishing tied for 18th on cable among 18-49 viewers and 23rd in total viewers. Compared to the same week in 2025, overall viewership was up 30.6%, while the 18-49 rating declined 12.5%.
