Enzo Amore has reportedly held talks with WWE about a potential return, but no agreement has been reached, and a reunion with former tag team partner Big Cass remains uncertain.
According to Fightful Select, Enzo Amore discussed a return with WWE at some point in 2026 and remains interested in returning to the promotion. However, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion has not signed a contract, and no creative plans have been confirmed for a reunion with Big Cass.
The update comes several months after Amore was spotted at the WWE Performance Center in May, sparking speculation that he could be preparing for a comeback. Amore has not appeared on WWE television since his departure in 2018, while Cass returned in August 2026 after several years away.
Since his return, Cass has competed as a singles competitor on Monday Night Raw, including a rivalry with Je’Von Evans. Despite their separate career paths, speculation about a possible reunion has continued throughout the year.
WWE Reportedly Considered Different Plans For Enzo Amore And Big Cass
Enzo Amore and Big Cass became one of WWE’s most popular tag teams during their original run, initially gaining attention in NXT before moving to the main roster. Their partnership ended in 2017 when Cass turned on Amore, ending their successful run.
Earlier reports suggested WWE considered bringing both wrestlers back, although the company was reportedly reluctant to reunite them immediately. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline previously reported that WWE had discussed returning Amore through NXT while keeping Cass on the main roster.
The proposed arrangement reportedly stemmed from a belief that reuniting the pair could limit Cass’ potential as a singles competitor. However, Meltzer subsequently suggested that a reunion might make more sense given Cass’ position following his return to WWE.
Fightful Select also noted that WWE’s decision to bring Cass back before Amore would be unusual if the eventual intention was to reunite the former partners. The report suggested that introducing Amore first, followed by Cass, would have been a more conventional way to rebuild their partnership.
Nevertheless, WWE has not indicated that it will bring Amore back or revisit the team’s previous storyline.
