AEW star Eddie Kingston has opened up about how long he has left on his contract and his plans for retirement.
Eddie Kingston has confirmed he intends to remain with AEW for several more years, revealing the length of his current contract and outlining his plans for life after wrestling.
Speaking on Gabby AF, Kingston said he still has “six more years” left on his AEW deal. He then described his retirement ambitions, which include leaving the spotlight entirely.
“I want to make my money and then buy a place in Alaska and get away from society,”
Kingston said, adding that as long as he can stream his favourite New York sports teams, he’ll be content. “Leave me alone,” he joked.
Kingston wrestled in the main event of the December 10 Dynamite: Winter Is Coming, unsuccessfully challenging Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship. The bout marked his first World Title opportunity since returning from injury last year.
A decorated performer across multiple promotions, Kingston is a former AEW Continental Champion, ROH World Champion and New Japan Strong Openweight Champion. He also became the inaugural winner of the Continental Classic, securing tournament victories over both Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley on his way to the trophy.
