Dustin Rhodes has apologized to Mustafa Ali and others after ‘liking’ a post on X.
The post itself depicted a woman holding what looked like a firearm and wearing a ‘Come And Take It’ shirt tied to a women’s restroom symbol.
The text with the post read: “Hey ISLAM, come at take it. I dare ya!”.
Rhodes has since deleted the reply.
For context, Rhodes has a transgender stepchild and has made many posts supporting trans and gay rights.
TNA’s Mustafa Ali criticized Rhodes with his reply: “I respect you and your family immensely. You showing support to something like this is really disappointing.”

Rhodes though set the record straight with a post to Ali: “My apologies @MustafaAli_X . I am not that person. Genuinely like the photo. Did not read caption and don’t agree with that at all.”

Ali accepted the apology: “I appreciate the apology, please be careful about anti-whatever rhetoric posts. Normalizing it is dangerous for all of us. Be well, Dustin.”

Think I’m gonna quit this app. No matter how many people i help, or how many i inspire, there is always so many trying to break you down. Tired.

My apologies for liking a firearm pic. Did not not read the caption and that is my bad. I by no means, and you all know, I am not a racist person. We all bleed red. Truthfully liked the firearm in picture, nothing more. I sincerely apologize

Former WWE superstar and right-wing hardliner Val Venis chimed in with: “Am I correct to assume @MustafaAli_X wants the Islamification of America to continue unopposed? Pray Mustafa Ali finds the truth in Jesus Christ and accepts the fact Jesus Christ died for his sins.”

Ali did not respond but others did.
I’m a big advocate for him professionally. But personally? He’s on the wrong side of the fence. I also pray that he will come to the truth of Jesus Christ. 🙏🏻

Just f–k off Val. You’re a hardly-was trying to drum up attention just desperate for those “glory days” which was like half a year – 30 years ago.

No, I think you got a few too many chair shots to the head. Or maybe you were just born stupid. Take your pick.

Jesus died for everybody, Val.
