It has been reported that Drew McIntyre‘s current WWE contract could see him remain with the company until 2028.
Fightful Select reported that Drew McIntyre’s contract extension, which he signed with WWE in 2024, is set to run until around WrestleMania season in 2028. This comes after former WWE head writer Vince Russo, who recently invested in Juggalo Championship Wrestling, invited McIntyre to come and wrestle for the independent promotion.
It was announced that Russo had invested in JCW in late October, and McIntyre had previously spoken about how he wanted to work with the promotion when he was still an independent wrestler, but a deal to bring him into JCW was never reached.
What Is Drew McIntyre Doing In WWE Now?
Drew McIntyre is currently feuding with Cody Rhodes over the Unisputed WWE Championship, and he recently challenged Rhodes for the title at the November 1 Saturday Night’s Main Event, but he was unable to pick up a victory, making it his second title match loss in a row at major events. McIntyre’s other loss came at Wrestlepalooza, where he was unable to defeat Rhodes for the title.
