WWE star Drew McIntyre has landed another Hollywood role, joining the cast of The Last Druid alongside Russell Crowe, Tennyson Crowe, Pablo Derqui, and Stacy Clausen. The film, currently being shot in Spain, follows a druid who must protect his people after being discovered by a Roman Emperor, with Crowe playing a Celtic elder. The project is McIntyre’s latest acting venture following his involvement in the upcoming Highlander reboot starring Henry Cavill. Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre has been absent from WWE television since losing an Unsanctioned Match to Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42 Night One.
Former WWE Champion Big E is set to release an autobiographical memoir titled How I Got Over: Healing from Depression and Psychosis to Find Joy In and Out of the Ring on February 2, 2027. Published by BenBella Books, the book will chronicle Big E’s journey from a difficult childhood marked by depression, body image struggles and severe mental health challenges, through his rise to becoming a WWE Champion and member of The New Day. The memoir promises an honest look at his battles with depression and psychosis alongside the highs and lows of his wrestling career, while highlighting themes of resilience, recovery and self-acceptance.
Eddie Andelman, the Boston sports radio pioneer credited with creating WWE’s King of the Ring tournament, has passed away at the age of 89. Andelman partnered with Vince McMahon and WWE to launch the first King of the Ring event in 1985 as a charity fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting children’s causes. The tournament later became one of WWE’s most recognisable annual events. Outside of wrestling, Andelman was a member of the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame and a longtime influential figure in Boston sports media. His family announced his passing on Monday.
