According to Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio is playing it safe as he recovers from injury.
At AAA Guerra de Titanes on December 20th, Dominik Mysterio suffered a shoulder injury. The star was in the main event of the show, teaming with El Grande Americano in a losing effort against Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix.
Late in the bout, Dirty Dom took a DDT from his father and appeared to land awkwardly on his shoulder. The following night on Raw, WWE confirmed that the reigning AAA Mega Champion would be out of action for an undetermined amount of time.
Liv Morgan Confirms Dominik Mysterio Will Return To WWE Soon
On the latest Raw Recap, Liv Morgan provided an update on Mysterio, saying he will be back “soon,” but is taking his time.
“Daddy Dom, he’s home resting. He’s just recovering. We’re just playing it safe. He is, after all, our double champion. He is, as of right now, the crown jewel of The Judgment Day so we protect and cater to Daddy Dom and we’re just playing it safe with him and he’ll be back soon.
“But, he’s doing some well-deserved R&R. He was quite literally running Monday Night Raw for like the last full year. You don’t think that Daddy Dom deserves a little bit of a break? A little bit of a rest? A little bit of an off day? A little bit of a reprieve? My goodness.”
In Dominik Mysterio’s absence, Liv Morgan is hoping to bring gold to The Judgment Day when she and Roxanne Perez challenge Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY for the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
