Danhausen’s arrival in WWE is already making an impact beyond the ring.
Following his debut at Elimination Chamber in Chicago, the eccentric superstar has quickly become a strong merchandising draw for the company. According to a report from PWInsider, WWE officials have been “pleasantly surprised” by the early sales figures generated by Danhausen merchandise in just the first few days after his debut.
The former AEW star himself confirmed the strong start on social media, revealing that his debut shirt has already climbed to the top of the sales charts on WWEShop.com.
“Danhausens debut shirt is the top seller on @WWEShop go give Danhausen all of your human monies or face the same fate of Mysterious Dominik,” he wrote.
The message referenced his ongoing storyline involving Dominik Mysterio and The Judgment Day.
Danhausen’s WWE TV Debut
Danhausen’s presence has already made waves on WWE television. During the March 2 episode of Monday Night Raw in Indianapolis, he confronted members of The Judgment Day backstage and placed one of his trademark “curses” on Mysterio.
Later that same night, Mysterio lost the Intercontinental Championship to Penta in a surprising upset, leading fans online to jokingly credit Danhausen’s curse for the title change.
With the character already generating attention on both television and merchandise sales, WWE appears ready to continue integrating Danhausen into its programming.
According to reports, Danhausen is expected to spend time at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando this week as he continues adapting to the company’s system.
He is also scheduled to be in Phoenix, Arizona, for this Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown, suggesting fans may soon see more of the “very nice, very evil” star on WWE television.
