In a video on his YouTube channel, D-Von Dudley has accused Jim Ross of racist behaviour.
D-Von was interviewed along with his life-long tag team partner and friend Bully Ray by Maven.
D-Von referred to an interview he gave to Video Gamer, in which he stated he was the target of racism when he was in the WWE. Ray supported D-Von’s accusation saying that Spike Dudley, Tommy Dreamer and Paul Heyman witnessed it too.
“Was it JR? Yes. I did have a problem with JR back then and I didn’t know why. I’m not angry at the man today. I know the man is going through some health problems, some health issues and just to show you where I am and the place that I’m in, I pray God can heal his body but was I disappointed with that man when he said the things he said to me back then? Yes, I was,” he said.
Back in WWE’s Attitude Era, Ross was not only an on-air commentator but also the head of talent relations there.
Although D’Von has found it in his heart to forgive Jim Ross, he hasn’t forgotten.
“I was very hurt, very bothered by what the man had said on two separate occasions and like I said about Hogan, I’m not asking you to forget what was said but you have to forgive. I’ve forgiven him in my heart,” he continued. “I don’t hold any ill feelings towards the man. Again, I won’t forget but I do have to forgive him and whether he wants to be stubborn about it or what have you, that’s on him, but my heart of hearts is letting it go.”
D-Von stated that he hasn’t spoken to Ross about the issue and has never been offered an apology.
