To hype the release of WWE 2K26, WWE and 2K have released a bunch of clues when put together form a picture hinting at what could be in this year’s release.
Here is a breakdown of the clues in the image:
Championship Belts
In the top left there are two championship belts. One is the WWE Women’s World Championship and the other is the
WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Stone Cold References
The poster and cans of beer suggest a heavy focus on the Attitude Era and perhaps “Stone Cold” himself. The beer and shopping cart could also be new weapons.
Shawn Michaels Poster
That’s Attitude Era Shawn Michaels. There seems to be a lot of Michaels imagery throughout the poster.
CRT TV Showing “WWE 2K26” + “LIGHT IT UP”
Light It Up is AJ Lee’s entrance theme. She is making a return to the series.
Lighted Mirror With Shadowy Figure
That looks like Blake Monroe’s trademarked mirror and the silhouette is Shawn Michaels posing.
“THE SHOW NEVER STOPS”
Yet another reference to Shawn Michaels but it could also be hinting at the Island is coming back. Island mode debuted in last year’s edition. It was free-roam and had Roman Reigns guiding players to complete tasks and battle other players. There were micro transactions as well to improve the look of your character.
Match Types
“3 STAGES OF HELL” Poster.
A Dumpster equals Dumpster Match.
A fire extinguisher and can of gasoline could be an Inferno Match.
Desk Calendar (January Date)
January 30th is when WWE and 2K are releasing the cover star information, which points to Shawn Michaels?
Framed Iguana Image
Mr. Iguana and other AAA talent are in the game.
Video Tapes
“Pipe Bomb” = CM Punk
“Cena vs Orton”
“Night of Champions”
The WrestleMania Tombstone
WrestleMania XXVI is most famous for The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels – Streak vs Career match and CM Punk versus The Undertaker.
The Microphone
The microphone used in ‘I Quit’ Matches.
The overall suggestions are:
Attitude Era & Ruthless Aggression focus
Shawn Michaels and CM Punk are featured era specific rebels in Showcase mode
Hardcore and multi-stage match types.
AAA crossover roster additions.
Expanded weapons, promos, and environments.
WWE and 2K have already confirmed the Attitude Era Edition, Monday Night War and Triple H covers.
