Cody Rhodes believes Danhausen has become the current king of WWE merchandise sales.
Speaking on ESPN Unsportsmanlike, Cody Rhodes discussed Danhausen’s growing popularity in WWE and admitted the unique star has quickly become one of the company’s biggest merchandise movers.
Rhodes explained that he and Danhausen are among the WWE names who regularly sign stacks of 8×10 photos for fans before events, joking that he still is not entirely sure what to make of the “very nice, very evil” personality.
“I don’t know where I stand on him yet… Don’t have the best read on, very nice, very evil, very rich. Don’t know enough about, but I think it’s safe to say Danhausen is one of the most popular people in all of WWE at the moment,” Rhodes said, “and I don’t see it really stopping. He overtook the merch game.”
Cody Rhodes Stated That Danhausen Is Outperforming Everyone Else In WWE On Merch Sales
The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes also dismissed confusion about WWE Shop rankings and insisted that Danhausen is currently outperforming the rest of the roster in merchandise sales.
“There is all kinds of market confusion because the WWE shop website has a thing that people actually believe, but I’ll tell you who’s the king right now of the merch game. It’s Danhausen. He’s beating us all.” Rhodes added.
Reports from PWInsider previously stated that Danhausen had become WWE’s No. 2 merchandise seller overall, with three of his shirt designs reportedly sitting among the company’s top five best-selling items.
