Cody Rhodes has admitted he is growing frustrated with facing the same opponents in WWE, saying he wants fresh rivalries moving forward.
Speaking on the Nikki and Brie show, Cody Rhodes reflected on his upcoming Undisputed WWE Championship match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42, while acknowledging he is beginning to tire of repeated matchups.
“I hope that doesn’t put a rain on anyone’s parade, but I’m getting tired of wrestling guys,” Rhodes said.
After receiving a mixed reaction to the comment, Rhodes clarified that his issue lies with the toll of long-running rivalries, rather than the opponents themselves.
“You get into these longstanding rivalries… me and your husband [Seth Rollins] wrestled four times now, and more than that really, and it took a great deal out of each other,” he said.
