An AEW star crossed paths with CM Punk during WrestleMania 42 week in Las Vegas, sharing the moment on social media.
Brian Cage posted a photo alongside CM Punk from Dragon’s Lair Gym, with the image gaining attention online before he addressed the interaction further.
“Made a post this morning about never taking pictures, and then as fate would have it, it gave me another opportunity,” Cage wrote. “I’d normally just catch up with @CMPunk and leave it at that… Always nice seeing many of the friends from the other side… Been cool with Punk ever since taking the last GTS on Dynamite.”
Cage had also been active at WrestleCon, where he shared images with Braun Strowman, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn.
The appearance comes shortly after Cage confirmed he has been medically cleared following a quadriceps injury that kept him out of action for over a year. He recently returned to the ring at an independent event in Las Vegas.
