CM Punk is not a fan of WWE’s Unreal Netflix show and has tried to steer clear of it…and he isn’t alone.
“It is the reality of the world I work in. I share the sentiment with a few guys on the roster. I’m not super thrilled about it but if I don’t want to the shoot something I say: Don’t shoot it. If I know there are cameras waiting there I will walk somewhere else,” he said on the Sam Roberts podcast about trying to avoid the show, filming.
When asked by Roberts if he was part of the new season, Punk didn’t know.
“I don’t know…I know they are asking me to do any interview for it…and we never did the interview so I don’t know if that means I am not in it. There is a camera in my face everywhere I go so I am sure I will pop up,” he said laughing.
Although he isn’t a fan of everything explored on the show he does appreciate one thing about it.
“I am fascinated with the show. I watched the first season and I really, really like it. I thought it brough a human element to Charlotte and Rhea or even me to an extent. I think that can be great. I don’t know if I need you though talking to may opponent and stuff like that. There are a couple of things that are too far for me but also nobody has a gun to your head. You don’t have to watch it,” he said.
WWE Unreal Season Two debuts on Netflix on January 20th at 3:00 AM EST.
