CM Punk was involved in a heated backstage confrontation with Grayson Waller following a recent WWE NXT live event, although the incident was part of a storyline. Footage showed Waller confronting the Undisputed WWE Champion and telling him to call ahead before appearing in NXT again, declaring the brand his house and threatening to pursue Punk’s championship. The exchange escalated until security intervened and Waller left the area. WWE initially posted footage of the confrontation on social media before deleting it, raising speculation that it may have been uploaded prematurely. The angle could potentially continue on NXT television.

Former ECW and WWE wrestler Blue Meanie has revealed that he is dealing with broken ribs following a recent fall. Brian Heffron, who performed as Blue Meanie, said on Instagram that he is in a “huge amount of pain” and may be unable to respond to people attempting to contact him. Heffron also revealed that he is currently dealing with a death in his family and asked fans to send their support during the difficult period.
Carmelo Hayes continues to be viewed positively backstage in WWE despite his inconsistent position on television, according to Fightful Select. Sean Ross Sapp said he has never heard anything negative about Hayes from within the company, with the former United States Champion described as “dependable, professional, and with a lot of upside.” Sapp noted that Hayes was a favourite of Shawn Michaels during his time in NXT, although that does not necessarily mean he has the same standing with Triple H on the main roster. Hayes held the United States Championship for 98 days before losing it to Sami Zayn in March and recently failed to regain the title from Baron Corbin on SmackDown.
