WWE is continuing to load up its special NXT episode this Wednesday with big name talent.
Due to U.S. election coverage on the CW, NXT is being moved to Wednesday up against AEW Dynamite.
On last night’s Halloween Havoc event, CM Punk made a surprise appearance on the Big Screen after NXT Champion Grayson Waller defeated Tony D’Angelo.
Danhausen, the host of the event, came out and warned Waller not to get too comfortable. He explained that his “close, personal friend” had a message for him.
CM Punk then appeared on the screen.
“Grayson Waller. Up here, bud. Pay attention because you have been running your mouth about me specifically for weeks saying I need to ask YOU for permission to come into YOUR house because YOU run NXT,” Punk began.
“Well, I have waited patiently and I wanted to see how you and Tony would shake out. Now, that you are NXT Champion, buddy, hold onto that belt tight because I am coming November 4th. It is CM Punk versus Grayson Waller for the NXT title. You say that NXT is YOUR house? Kid, I am the landlord and Wednesday the rent is due,” Punk finished.
Punk is the latest big name to be added to the show in recent weeks. Cody Rhodes will be there to award the trophy to the winners of the Dusty Cup and John Cena will be making an appearance as well.
