Chris Jericho has spoken about his wrestling future as rumours continue to swirl about the possibility of him rejoining WWE.
Chris Jericho’s AEW contract is reportedly set to expire at the end of this year, meaning he will be a free agent in 2026 if he doesn’t sign an extension with AEW, and neither he nor Tony Khan have commented on if he is staying with AEW or moving on, although Khan has said he is hopeful that we will see Jericho back in an AEW ring in the near future.
Now, speaking this week on the Tim Weisberg Show on WBSM, Jericho has addressed his wrestling future, and said that he is definitely not finished with wrestling yet, and that he is “pretty sure” we will see him in a ring “somewhere” in 2026.
“Well, you never know, man. That’s the thing is, I’m not done yet. So, still figuring out everything and we’ll see where I end up. But I’m pretty sure you’ll see me in 2026 in a wrestling ring somewhere.”
Will Chris Jericho Return To WWE?
It remains unclear whether Chris Jericho will return to WWE or not, but given that he hasn’t appeared on AEW TV since the April 9 episode of Dynamite, and reports have recently come out stating that WWE offered Jericho a retirement storyline, the signs point towards a possible WWE homecoming for Y2J.
Jericho has been with AEW since 2019, after he left WWE in 2018 following his appearance in the Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27.
