Charlotte Flair has named the star she believes is the gold standard in WWE.
In 2025, there have been multiple stars trying to make their name as the face of WWE, but for Charlotte Flair, there is one man who embodies what it means to be a WWE superstar.
According to The Queen, John Cena is the total package. Speaking on the Survivor Series Recap, Flair explained that the 17-time World Champion’s connection to the audience, even when he was being booed, set him apart from other stars.
“He’s just the gold standard. The way he interacts with the audience, one minute they’re saying ‘Let’s go Cena, Cena sucks,’ and then getting the whole crowd standing up on their feet.”
Continuing, Flair also spoke about Cena’s dedication to Make-A-Wish, as well as his work ethic over the past two decades made him stand out from the pack.
“What he does with Make-A-Wish, what he’s able to do with his opponents, his charisma, his work ethic, his love for the business, he’s just the total package of what it means to be a WWE superstar.”
How Did Charlotte Flair & John Cena Fare At WWE Survivor Series: WarGames?
At Survivor Series, Charlotte Flair teamed up with IYO SKY, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, and AJ Lee to defeat Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, Lash Legend, and Becky Lynch.
John Cena was not so fortunate, as interference from The Judgment Day, including a returning Liv Morgan, saw him lose the Intercontinental Championship back to Dominik Mysterio.
Cena now only has one match left before he retires from professional wrestling. At Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th, the future Hall of Famer will face the winner of the ongoing ‘The Last Time Is Now’ tournament, with Gunther remaining the heavy favourite.
