WWE Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable appeared to suffer a possible injury during a tag team match on Monday’s episode of Raw at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. Gable teamed with Dragon Lee against Ethan Page and Big Cass, with Page continuing his pursuit of another Intercontinental Championship opportunity. During the match, Page delivered a suplex to Gable at ringside, causing the champion to land awkwardly and seemingly struggle to get back to his feet.
Medical personnel and Lee immediately checked on Gable, who couldn’t continue. Page and Cass were subsequently declared the winners, while medical staff remained with Gable. It remains unclear whether the incident was a legitimate injury or part of a storyline, with WWE yet to confirm Gable’s condition.
John Cena is set to return to WWE Raw next week at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, marking his first appearance on the programme since his retirement in December 2025. Cena subsequently hosted WrestleMania 42 in April and appeared at Backlash in May, where he announced the inaugural John Cena Classic. His upcoming appearance could be connected to the tournament, which is expected to take place in December, although WWE has not confirmed the reason for his return.
Meanwhile, Solo Sikoa will face Royce Keys after accepting a challenge issued earlier on Raw. Sikoa responded alongside The Bloodline, declaring that nobody was safe. Next week’s episode will air earlier, at 6pm ET, as WWE holds a double television taping in Brooklyn.
