A wrestling fan who passed away in Las Vegas WrestleMania weekend died of natural causes, reports The Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The Clark County has found that Marc Izard died of diabetic ketoacidosis, which is when a severe lack of insulin forces the body to break down fat too quickly for energy. High ketone levels make the blood dangerously acidic which can become life-threatening if not treated.
The British fan went missing WrestleMania weekend with even Natalya, who took a photo with him, asking for help from the public. His body was found after an intensive search by Las Vegas authorities.
“Although we are obviously devastated at our loss, we are at some comfort knowing he passed doing what he loved so much,” wrote his sister Kelly on Facebook. “We want to say a massive thank you to everyone that knew Marc. Both personally, and his wider wrestling family for their huge help. And support over the last week in helping us trying to find him.”
Kelly created a GoFundMe page to pay for funeral costs, etc. So far, $27,290.44 USD has been donated.
