Carmella has hinted at a potential return to the ring after reacting to a move used on AEW programming.
The former SmackDown Women’s Champion responded to an independent wrestler using a variation of her Code of Silence submission during a match with Kris Statlander, suggesting there is “a difference between homage and theft.” The moment was sparked by independent talent B3CCA, whose recent AEW appearance drew Carmella’s attention and prompted the response.
Carmella added that she “didn’t retire,” teasing that she may need to “come back” to show how the move is properly done.
When Did Carmella Last Wrestle In WWE?
Carmella has been out of action since 2023, with her last match taking place at Madison Square Garden during a Road to WrestleMania live event, where she teamed with members of Damage CTRL and Piper Niven.
Despite the tease, there is currently no indication of an imminent return, either in WWE or elsewhere. Her contract status remains unclear, though she is still listed on WWE’s roster.
