Next week’s NXT broadcast is looking more and more like pure nostalgia for fans of ECW.
On Halloween Havoc last night it was announced that Dawn Marie will be the special referee for a hardcore match between Lola Vice and Jaida Parker on the November 6th episode of NXT which will air live from the 2300 Arena, formerly known as ECW Arena, in Philadelphia. This episode will be going head-to-head with AEW Dynamite on that Wednesday night.
If that wasn’t enough there seems to be something brewing between Ridge Holland and Bully Ray, Bubba Ray Dudley, whatever you wish to call him.
At Halloween Havoc Ridge Holland crossed Bubba’s path not once, not twice but three times. Bubba/Bully explained his attitude and actions to his Busted Open Radio audience.
“Shawn Michaels came on Busted Open a week ago and he was nice enough to invite us here for Halloween Havoc to be apart of this to give Busted Open even more of a platform than we have already. Put us on the pre-show, put us on the live show, basically let us do whatever we want,” he said explaining their appearance.
At the show itself Holland interrupted Bubba Ray Dudley and Dave LaGreca twice then at the end of the main event he assisted Ethan Page in attacking Trick Williams.
Bubba had enough and made the save.
“Ridge Holland decided to make a name for himself at our expense tonight. I understand the first time, here’s an opportunity to get the world to see me if they didn’t know me. They already know who Ridge Holland is so he did what he had to do. I let that slide, the second time, too much, too much!…End of the night, listen you saw what happened. Ridge decides to hit the ring. Him and Ethan starts ganging up on Trick. I could have sworn maybe Booker or somebody at ringside, or a couple of guys from the back, I know it’s the end of the night a lot of people went home, would have at least tried to help Trick. I got fans all around me looking at me saying: Bubba please help him out! Please help him out! What am I supposed to do? So, tonight was enough and you know how I feel about Trick. I thought Trick went out there and did a great job out there tonight. Showed fighting spirit and got the win and Ridge I’m not hard to find,” said Bully/Bubba.

It appears as though Bubba/Bully is on a collision course with Ridge Holland. Will they lock up on the November 6th episode of NXT? Stay tuned.
