Buff Bagwell believes he can wrestle again following his right leg amputation and has set his sights on making a return in TNA Wrestling.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Buff Bagwell detailed a recent physical therapy session that convinced him a comeback could be possible, explaining how regaining mobility changed his outlook.
“I was getting down on the floor and getting up pretty good in the session, and I started thinking, if I can get down and get up, I can wrestle again,” Bagwell said. “Within a few minutes of physical therapy, two things I learn real quick, I needed two elbow pads, and I need one kneepad. I really think I can do this.”
Bagwell added that he believes a return, even for a limited capacity, is achievable under the right conditions.
“On flat ground, I think I can pull this off and at least have one good match for somebody, and I hope it’s TNA.”
He also revealed that discussions have already taken place, noting he attended a recent TNA taping and is expected to step back into the ring in the near future as part of that process.
Buff Bagwell Has Made Appearances Since His Leg Amputation
Buff Bagwell has remained active in the wrestling industry since his amputation last July, making appearances for both TNA and Memphis Wrestling. He most recently featured on the March 26 episode of TNA iMPACT in a segment alongside Frankie Kazarian and Elijah.
While a full in-ring return is yet to be confirmed, Bagwell’s comments indicate he is actively working towards competing again as he continues his rehabilitation.
