Bruce Prichard has addressed long-standing rumours surrounding his relationship with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, pushing back on claims that tension existed between them following his return to WWE.
Speaking on Something To Wrestle With, Bruce Prichard discussed speculation that surfaced after he rejoined the company in 2019, with some suggesting lingering issues stemming from his previous departure in 2008. According to Prichard, those claims were entirely unfounded.
Addressing Triple H’s current role within WWE, Prichard dismissed the idea that his position was solely the result of personal connections, instead praising his passion for the business.
“He was a top talent. And obviously married in. But if he had married Betty down the street, [he would] still be in the same position he is in today,” Prichard said. “Because he still has those qualifications. He still has that love and that desire for the business. And that’s what I appreciate as well, is we do share the same love and appreciation for the business. But always did, that’s the thing.”
Prichard also directly addressed rumours of tension between himself, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, firmly dismissing them.
“That is 100% just rumour, gossip,” he said. “People going, ‘Oh well, you know.’ It’s simply not true. Not in any way, shape or form.”
The longtime WWE executive also reflected on how much the company had changed since his previous run, particularly in terms of scale and reach. Returning in 2019, he said, highlighted just how much larger and more complex WWE had become.
“The enormity of everything, and the enormity of how every single little thing that you do was magnified 1,000 times globally,” Prichard explained. “So what people would perceive as something small suddenly becomes huge. The company has grown so much, and the way business is handled now is completely different.”
Prichard added that the expansion of WWE into a global brand has changed how every decision is made, noting that even minor choices can carry significant impact in today’s environment.
When Did Bruce Prichard Start Working For WWE?
Bruce Prichard first began working for WWE in 1987, initially joining the company as an announcer and behind-the-scenes figure. Over time, he became one of Vince McMahon’s most trusted lieutenants, working in a variety of roles including television producer, creative executive, and on-screen personality.
Prichard remained with WWE through much of the late 1980s and 1990s before departing in 2008. He later returned to the company in 2019, resuming a prominent backstage role and once again becoming a key figure in WWE’s creative and production operations.
