Matt Hardy has revived his “Broken” persona in TNA Wrestling, marking a major shift for the Hardy Boyz.
The return took place on the April 30 episode of TNA Impact, where Matt Hardy appeared to assist his brother Jeff Hardy during his match against Vincent of The Righteous. The appearance confirmed weeks of teases that the duo were set to return to their “broken” characters.
Jeff also showed signs of reverting to his Brother Nero persona, suggesting the full act could be returning in the coming weeks.

When Did Matt Hardy First Use His “Broken” Persona?
Matt Hardy first introduced the Broken gimmick in TNA in 2016, where it quickly gained popularity with fans. However, later runs in WWE and AEW saw the character used in a more limited capacity.
Following his return to TNA in 2024, Hardy began revisiting elements of the persona, including during his world title match with Moose. The latest development now signals a full revival of one of his most well-known gimmicks.
