Britt Baker has offered a cryptic response when asked whether she will wrestle again amid continued uncertainty surrounding her AEW future.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion has not appeared on company television since November 2024. Her most recent appearance came when she defeated Penelope Ford on Dynamite before confronting Serena Deeb.
Britt Baker has been absent from AEW programming since then, fueling speculation about when, or if, she will return to the ring.
The 35-year-old shared a beach photo on Instagram this week, prompting one fan to ask in the comments whether she would ever wrestle again.
Rather than confirming plans for a comeback, Baker responded:
“I dunno should I?”
While Baker’s response offered no concrete indication about her future, it comes amid continued questions surrounding her status with AEW.
Britt Baker Reportedly Remains Under AEW Contract Despite Not Having Wrestled For Nearly Two Years
Earlier this year, AEW President Tony Khan confirmed that Britt Baker remains under contract with the promotion and said she remains highly regarded within the company. Khan also indicated that he expects the former Women’s World Champion to return at some stage.
Baker’s contract situation has also attracted attention during her lengthy absence.
Previous reports indicated that she signed a five-year AEW contract in 2021, potentially putting the deal on course to expire later this year. However, injury time could be added to the agreement, potentially extending her stay with the promotion.
Baker was one of AEW’s original signings when the company launched in 2019 and became its first contracted female wrestler. She went on to capture the AEW Women’s World Championship in 2021, holding the title for nearly 10 months.
Her recent years have been interrupted by injuries, limiting her time inside the ring before her latest extended absence from television.
For now, Baker has provided no definitive timetable for a return or confirmation regarding what comes next in her wrestling career. However, her latest response has ensured speculation surrounding a potential comeback will continue.
