Ryusuke Taguchi has tied the record for the total number of career wins in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament.
By defeating Valiente he tied Jushin Thunder Liger’s 85 victories but not in the way he wanted to.
Valiente injured his leg while landing after bouncing off the ropes in their match. It looked like Taguchi’s knee might have made contact with that of Valiente’s. Valiente couldn’t continue and so the match was called. Taguchi was declared the winner. A concerned Taguchi helped Valiente from the ring as a Young Lion gave him a piggy back to the back.
Overall, it is Titán and Ryusuke Taguchi tied at the top of A Block with 6 points and Sho, Daisuke Sasaki tied with six points at the top of B Block.
