Bobby Lashley has revealed several AEW stars he believes could be strong additions to The Hurt Syndicate, including Will Ospreay.
The Hurt Syndicate announced last month that they were interested in expanding the group following their return to AEW television, though no official new members have been added yet. Speaking on The Danny Ocean Show, Bobby Lashley said there is no shortage of talent within AEW who could fit alongside the faction.
“One of the guys, he’s wrestling actually last night in Kevin Knight… that kid is on fire,” Lashley said of Kevin Knight. “He’s young, he’s impressive. He looks great in the ring. I mean, he can do it all right now.”
Lashley also pointed to Swerve Strickland as someone the group has already discussed internally.
“We tried to kind of twist Swerve’s arm there for a little bit because I think Swerve has — you know, he’s the most dangerous man in AEW. And we’re the most dangerous faction in AEW.”
Bobby Lashley Named Will Ospreay As Someone He’d Love To Have In The Hurt Syndicate
Bobby Lashley then turned his attention to Will Ospreay, noting that the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion is currently caught between several rival groups and storylines.
“Another person that’s getting pulled in a bunch of different angles right now is Will Ospreay,” Lashley said. “Will Ospreay has been pulled over to his group from Japan, but also Moxley and his guys have been pulling him. So I think we might need to throw our name in the hat there also and try to pull him out.”
Lashley praised Ospreay as one of the standout talents on the AEW roster and suggested there are numerous wrestlers who could benefit from aligning with The Hurt Syndicate moving forward.
