A former UFC fighter will be battling for the $750,000 USD grand prize on this year’s edition of Big Brother.

“Kamu” Kirk Kamuela, who fought for Legacy Fighting Alliance, UFC and was in Dana White’s Contender Series, is part of this season’s cast.
Nicknamed The Jawaiian, his professional MMA record is 11 (Wins), 7 (Losses) and 0 (Draws). He fought as a lightweight.
In UFC he had 1 win and two losses.
He has fought on the events: LFA 196, UFC 290, UFC Fight Night: Santos vs. Ankalaev, UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Sakai and LFA 107.
In his Big Brother promo, Kamuela spoke about working at his family’s gym now training other potential MMA fighters.
“I think I am going to win season 28 of Big Brother because I have been battle tested,” said Kamuela. “After fighting in UFC I have been through all the ups and downs. I have faced every sort of adversity you can imagine,” he said claiming to have had 11 MMA-related surgeries.
Kamuela says he wants to get along with everyone in the house and win the competitions he needs to win.
“My cauliflower ears and crooked nose are a dead giveaway that I am a fighter and I have seen competition but I want to show that I am not a huge physical threat. I am going to get along with everyone and be easy going in the house,” he said.
The 90-minute Big Brother premiere airs Thursday, July 9 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT), on Global TV and CBS.
