Bianca Belair has revealed that she is dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands as she continues her lengthy absence from the ring.
Bianca Belair has not wrestled since WrestleMania 41 in April 2025, where she competed against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY in a triple threat match for the Women’s World Championship. More than a year later, Belair shared an update on Instagram Stories alongside a photograph showing one of her fingers in a brace.

“No one ever talks about this stuff,” Belair wrote. “Currently carpal tunnel in both hands, fingers completely numb, no feeling in surgery finger whatsoever, no grip strength, and now also Mom thumb. Wtf lol.”
Belair’s original injury occurred during the WrestleMania 41 match when Ripley landed on her hand following a triple German suplex from the turnbuckle. She later clarified that she had broken the knuckle and joint rather than simply suffering a broken finger.
“I broke my knuckle. Not my finger, I broke my knuckle. I broke the joint,” Belair explained last year. “It’s something that I thought was gonna be a very straightforward, you know, eight to 12 weeks.”
Bianca Belair Continues Recovery From WrestleMania Injury
Bianca Belair previously explained that the injury occurred when she and Ripley came off the top rope, with Ripley landing directly on her hand.
“We were going to the top rope, because that’s what we do,” she said. “And we came off the top rope, and Rhea landed straight on my hand, and it just crushed everything in my finger.”
Belair said the joint broke in three places and initially healed without regaining sufficient movement, leaving her unable to safely return to wrestling. She eventually underwent surgery in February 2026 and began rehabilitation the following day.
Although Belair has remained out of in-ring competition, she has made several appearances on WWE television during her recovery. Those included a promo in her hometown of Knoxville and serving as the special guest referee for Jade Cargill against Naomi at Evolution.
Belair also appeared at WrestleMania 42 in April, where John Cena introduced her to the crowd at Allegiant Stadium and she announced her pregnancy. Her latest update indicates that she is now also dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands, numbness and a lack of grip strength as she continues her recovery.
