Becky Lynch has revealed that, despite her long list of accomplishments in WWE, there is still one major accolade she hopes to add to her resume.
Speaking on Stephanie McMahon‘s What’s Your Story? podcast, Becky Lynch reflected on her current approach to creative decisions and how her perspective has changed throughout her career. The former Women’s World Champion explained that years of success have given her confidence in her abilities, allowing her to focus more on performing whatever role is required rather than worrying about every creative direction.
“I know I’ve proved myself enough, and I’m at the point in my career where I’m immensely confident in my ability,” Lynch said. “If I agree with it or I don’t agree with it, sometimes I’ll be like, that’s great, that’s amazing. Sometimes I’ll disagree. But you’ve got to play the job.”
While discussing her career goals, Lynch admitted there is only one achievement she has yet to accomplish in WWE.
“I want the Money in the Bank briefcase,” she said.
Lynch went on to explain why she believes her current character would be the perfect fit to hold the contract, joking that fans would hate seeing an already established star win an opportunity many believe should go to a younger talent.
“Especially this character with the Money in the Bank briefcase. Everybody would hate it so much because they wanted it to go to somebody younger, somebody up and coming, somebody who’s never been a champion before,” Lynch said. “I’d love that in everybody’s face and have all the champions fear me.”
Becky Lynch’s Impressive List Of WWE Achievements
The comments come after a career that has already seen Becky Lynch achieve almost every major milestone available in WWE. She is a Grand Slam Champion, a Royal Rumble winner, and one of the first women to main-event WrestleMania, where she famously captured both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships.
Most recently, Lynch’s third reign as Women’s Intercontinental Champion ended at Clash in Italy, when Sol Ruca defeated her for the title.
