Becky Lynch has opened up on her reasons for pursuing an acting career.
Outside of becoming one of the top stars in WWE, Becky Lynch has taken on multiple acting roles on TV and in film. The multi-time Women’s Champion has had roles in Billions, Young Rock, Happy Gilmore 2, and, most recently, the new Star Trek series Starfleet Academy.
In a new interview with Billboard, The Man was asked whether she was planning to pursue Hollywood accolades or do it for “the love of the game.” Lynch admitted it was a bit of both, but says her main reason for acting was her love of performance.
“Gosh. I think maybe a little bit of both, but mostly for the love of the game because I just love performance in whatever medium that may be. Whether it’s on WWE, Star Trek, Happy Gilmore or Billions, I love it. I absolutely love it.”
Lynch then hinted that she was looking at acting as her next step once the “wheels fall off” and she needs to step away from pro-wrestling.
“I love working and I’m going to be working until the wheels fall off. But one day, the wheels are going to fall off when it comes to wrestling and then you gotta be thinking what’s next?”
Becky Lynch Wants Dream Match With AEW Star Toni Storm
During the same interview, Becky Lynch named Toni Storm as the non-WWE wrestler she would want to face. The star explained that she had always wanted to get in the ring with Storm and was “bummed” when she left WWE. Going further, Lynch said if the bout did ever happen, it should be a Dublin Street Fight, or maybe even Hell in a Cell.
